What is the Catholic Development Fund (CDF)
Our job is twofold. We help the diocese (the agencies, parishes and schools) in the management of their finances. We also offer clients a competitive range of investment and savings products.
Since 1961, we’ve been helping the Church in the Diocese of Wollongong to achieve its pastoral mission by lending funds to parishes, schools and diocesan groups at low cost so they don’t need to borrow money commercially. Operating as a ‘not for profit’ and after making a provision for reserves, the CDF distributes its surplus to the Diocese to support its charitable and pastoral works.
How does my investment help those in need?
Your investment with the CDF is an ethical one. It’s an opportunity to make a conscious commitment to support the important pastoral works of the Church. The security of your investment is our highest priority. All funds are guaranteed by the trustees* and the total assets of the diocese.
